How much weight would I be likely to lose by switching to diet soft drinks?

How much of an impact would switching to diet soft drinks have on my weight loss? Is there a big difference between the two, I know they’re still not healthy but am I right in believing they aren’t very fattening.

If I completely switched over from coke to diet coke, how much would I probably lose?
Are flavoured waters just as healthy because I like those.
Well i’m still fairly young at the moment, so i’m not really concerned which are healthier, just if it will cause me to lose more weight lol.

I advise not to even drink these pops because they just give you kidney stones.

How do Low-Carb diets cause weight-loss?

From my understanding, the only way to lose weight is to burn more calories than you consume – a.k.a. caloric deficit. And if you don’t use that extra food energy, it is stored as fat. Seems simple enough. How, then, is it that low-carb diets can cause weight loss without a caloric deficit? What secret metabolic process do low-carb diets access that enable people to burn fat while consuming far more calories than they actually use? Where does all that extra food energy go then?

there are only a small number of people who actually can do a low carb diet without reducing their calorie intake and still lose weight like you stated. and it’s only a temporary thing too,usually associated with water loss from the body. people can’t overeat for long on a low carb diet and still lose weight.
it’s more important to know how carbs cause fat storage.
about 25% of people won’t have much problems with excess carbs.
the other 75% will have differing degrees of carb sensitivity and have difficultly losing stored fat without eating low carb.

and so if people change to low carbs then it stops or at least slows down the problem

i am a 15 year old boy and i way 164 pounds. most of my fat is in my chest area most commonly refereed to as moobs. i like to bike and am usually out on 14-15 kilometer rides that are very hilly. i need a nutritious diet that will help me burn fat. please help. i have very low self esteem and i want to feel good about my body

Okay so for your diet try eating 5-6 meals a day 3 decent sized ones and 2-3 snacks. This will help your metabolism and keep you from over eating. For breakfast try a cereal like cheerios and some whole grain toast or yogurt. As for snacks try fruits, nuts, veggies or yogurt. Lunch chicken or tuna sandwich on whole wheat bread with some fruit. For dinner you could eat grilled lean meats chicken fish ect.
